The Rutherford Webb Business Continuity service is designed to ensure that your payroll will continue to be produced reliably regardless of whatever disaster may strike your payroll department.

System Setup

A payroll manager will interview payroll staff and produce a documented plan for use both by Rutherford Webb and the client. For the client it will document the procedures to invoke when Business Continuity may be required. It will list all contacts and escalation points. These will be available around the clock. For Rutherford Webb it will document the entire payroll operation procedure which would be invoked.

Lodging of Backups

Frequent encrypted remote data backups of your payroll data will be automatically transferred to a secure storage and test facility controlled by Rutherford Webb. This facility will hold multiple copies of this data. It will be tested for integrity and trial restoration will be carried out regularly.

Business Continuity Procedures

When the client needs to invoke these procedures they will contact their nominated contract and request the appropriate level of intervention. For emergency cover (i.e. less than 24 hours’ notice) there will be an agreed payroll procedure and charging system. For planned intervention e.g. maternity and scheduled sickness, full payroll processing will be implemented and charged at normal bureau rates for this service.
